Assess students' ability to create an original short story (approximately 800–1,200 words) that employs unreliable narration, purposeful intertextual allusions, and nonlinear chronology to explore shifting identity and perspective. Evaluation will focus on effective use of an unreliable narrator, meaningful allusions that illuminate theme, coherent temporal manipulation, clear depiction of identity/perspective shifts, stylistic control, and a 150–250 word reflective rationale explaining and defending narrative choices.
