Assess students' ability to analyze consistency, availability, and performance trade-offs in geo-distributed replication and consensus systems. The quiz will test understanding of Paxos, Raft, and CRDTs; their behavior under network partitions and high-latency links; relevant metrics (latency, throughput, staleness, commit success); quorum and recovery strategies; and require reasoned comparisons and protocol design recommendations for specific deployment scenarios.
