Assess pre-K–Grade 2 students' understanding that red, blue, and yellow are primary colors; their ability to identify and name these colors in simple artwork; use them to fill shapes or color objects; and give a basic explanation of how two primaries can make other colors. Scope includes picture identification, color-matching, selection tasks, and brief verbal or pictorial responses focused on recognition and basic understanding.
