Assess students' ability to compare aerobic cellular respiration and photosynthesis, including direction of energy flow (light → chemical energy → ATP vs chemical energy → ATP/heat), key reactants and products (CO2, H2O, O2, glucose), principal stages/pathways (light reactions & Calvin cycle vs glycolysis, Krebs cycle, electron transport), interpretation of balanced equations, and explanation of how these processes complement one another in ecosystems (producers vs consumers, carbon and oxygen exchange, and energy transfer through food webs).
