Assess students' understanding of the mechanisms, locations, inputs/outputs, and roles of light-dependent reactions and the light-independent (Calvin) cycle; explain the roles of pigments, ATP, NADPH, and electron transport; and analyze how light intensity and wavelength, CO2 concentration, temperature, and water availability affect photosynthetic rate, including interpretation of typical experimental graphs and design of simple experiments to test limiting factors.
