Require a labeled layout drawing/plan at scale, a short materials and cost list using mostly low-cost or reused items, and a written justification (or poster) explaining placement decisions and trade-offs (space vs. food, cost vs. durability, energy vs. storage, maintenance). Evaluate understanding of basic systems interactions, scale, safety, and creative problem-solving appropriate for an advanced grade 3–5 task.
