Assess graduate students' ability to apply the Fredholm Alternative to determine solvability and construct solutions for inhomogeneous linear integral equations of the second kind and related boundary-value problems. Tasks include identifying the homogeneous solution space, computing the adjoint kernel, formulating and verifying orthogonality (compatibility) conditions, and producing a particular solution or characterizing nonexistence/parameter families when conditions fail.
