Assess students' understanding of food webs and energy flow in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Scope includes identifying producers, consumers (primary, secondary, tertiary), and decomposers; distinguishing food chains from food webs; constructing and interpreting food webs and energy pyramids; applying the approximate 10% energy transfer rule for simple calculations; and predicting ecological consequences of species removal, population changes, or human impacts. Questions should combine labeling, short explanations, basic calculations, and scenario-based analysis for Grade 6–8 learners.
