Assess students' ability to apply color and shape choices to express emotions in simple drawings by matching colors/shapes to feelings, selecting and justifying combinations for a given emotion, creating a brief drawing that communicates an assigned emotion, and reflecting on how visual choices (warm vs. cool colors, rounded vs. jagged shapes, simple composition) influence emotional expression; tasks and language should be age-appropriate for Pre-K–Grade 2.
