Assess students' ability to evaluate reliability, bias, and strength of evidence in two short informational texts on the same topic. Students will compare author purpose and perspective, identify main claims and supporting details, judge which text is more reliable, cite specific textual evidence for their judgments, detect signs of bias or missing information, and propose what additional evidence or sources would strengthen conclusions; responses should be concise and evidence-based, suitable for Grade 3–5 evaluative tasks.
