Test students' ability to evaluate and compare multiple strategies to protect and improve a local pollinator habitat for the schoolyard—such as native plantings, pesticide reduction, nesting structures, water sources, signage, and student stewardship. Students will assess ecological benefits, feasibility, cost and maintenance, safety, and alignment with school resources; interpret simple site maps, plant lists, and budget estimates; weigh trade-offs and select and justify the best plan using evidence and stewardship principles.
