Assess the student's ability to analyze and quantify the relative contributions of climate variability and land-use change to regional groundwater depletion. Scope includes interpreting observational datasets (well hydrographs, GRACE, precipitation, ET), applying statistical attribution methods (trend decomposition, regression, change-point analysis), designing and running hydrologic or land-surface model sensitivity experiments, using remote-sensing indicators, quantifying uncertainty, and deriving management-relevant interpretations and limitations.
