Assess students' ability to identify and apply elements of art (line, shape, color, value, texture, space, form) and principles of design (balance, contrast, emphasis, movement, pattern, rhythm, unity) to analyze a provided artwork; require them to (a) name the strongest and weakest elements/principles, (b) explain how those choices affect meaning and visual impact, and (c) propose 2–3 specific, feasible revisions (composition, color, focal point, scale, or texture) that improve the work while preserving the artist's intent. Include a simple rubric for evaluation (use of vocabulary, clarity of analysis, practicality of suggestions).
