Test students' ability to apply constitutional principles to realistic K–12 school scenarios by evaluating: when student searches meet Fourth Amendment standards (reasonable suspicion vs. probable cause), when student speech is protected or may be lawfully restricted under First Amendment precedents (e.g., substantial disruption, lewdness, school-sponsored speech), and what procedural protections are required under the Fourteenth Amendment for school disciplinary actions; students will analyze facts, identify controlling legal standards, justify outcomes, and recommend school policies consistent with constitutional limits.
