Assess students' ability to identify and analyze cohesion and coherence strategies in undergraduate-level academic research articles; test recognition of cohesion devices (reference, substitution, ellipsis, conjunction, lexical cohesion), discourse markers and signposting, paragraph and macrostructure organization, rhetorical moves and logical progression, plus evaluation of effectiveness and proposing targeted revisions to improve clarity and flow.
