Assess students' ability to evaluate and choose the best design and location for a school pollinator garden to support native bees and butterflies by comparing sites and justifying choices based on sunlight exposure, soil type and drainage, water availability, native plant diversity and bloom timing, and student safety considerations (paths, visibility, allergy and sting risk); items will include interpreting simple sun maps and soil/moisture data, selecting appropriate native plants, and defending a design that balances habitat value with safety for grades 3–5 (advanced evaluation).
