Assess graduate students' ability to analyze resilience and tipping points in coastal wetland systems under sea-level rise by evaluating interacting sediment dynamics, vegetation feedbacks, and anthropogenic stressors; require interpretation of mechanistic and empirical data, identification of thresholds and feedback loops, evaluation of spatial and temporal scales, and proposal of management strategies to prevent regime shifts or enhance recovery.
