Tasks: close-read a provided op-ed to evaluate appeals, audience, evidence quality, tone, and ethical credibility; then write a 300–400 word op-ed on a current issue with a clear thesis, deliberate use of ethos/pathos/logos, organized support, credible evidence, and a brief counterargument.
