Assess students' ability to apply story elements (setting, characters, problem, solution) to sequence events in a short folktale: given a brief folktale (teacher-provided or read aloud), have students identify which element each key event illustrates, place events in chronological order on a story map or timeline, and write one sentence justifying each placement.
