Tasks include defining goal and functional unit, selecting system boundaries and life stages (raw materials, manufacturing, transport, use, end-of-life), choosing impact categories and data sources, conducting a basic life cycle inventory and impact interpretation, running sensitivity/uncertainty and allocation/end-of-life scenarios, and making a clear, evidence-based packaging recommendation.
