Assess Pre-K–Grade 2 students' ability to create a child-friendly neighborhood map and plan that balances homes, a school, parks, shops, roads, and at least one community rule. Students draw or arrange and label elements, then explain in one or two simple sentences how each choice meets different people's needs (children, caregivers, elders, shopkeepers, teachers), addressing safety, access, play, and fairness; include a brief rubric for spatial balance, empathy-based reasoning, and clear communication.
