Assess students' ability to apply letter–sound correspondence to build, read, and spell consonant–vowel–consonant (CVC) words. The quiz will test identification and production of short vowel and consonant sounds, segmenting spoken CVC words into phonemes for encoding, blending written letters/sounds to decode CVC words, and making onset/rime substitutions to form and read new CVC words. Appropriate for Pre-K–Grade 2 early literacy instruction with tasks that may use letter tiles or written prompts.
