Assess students' ability to apply story elements (character, setting, problem, solution) by rewriting a familiar fairy tale from a different character's perspective. Students will select a well-known tale and a secondary or alternate narrator, produce a 150–300 word retelling that demonstrates altered setting details, a revised central problem, shifted character motivations, and a new or reinterpreted solution; include a 2–3 sentence reflection explaining which story elements changed and why.
