Assess Pre-K–Grade 2 students' ability to predict and test whether common classroom objects sink or float. Students will make simple predictions, perform hands-on trials using a clear container of water, observe and record outcomes (pictures, checkboxes, or tallies), compare results to their predictions, and explain in basic terms how object properties (material, weight/heaviness, size/shape) influenced sinking or floating.
